Katie Lane (b. 1994, Bethesda, MD) is a New England-based painter whose work explores ephemerality in urban and rural landscapes, the ways they become intertwined through time, and the contrasts that emerge between them. Her paintings reflect on time, history, and our relationship to the environments we inhabit. Made to be lived with, her work considers the role art can play within a space—adding color, texture, atmosphere, and a sense of place to the environments we call our own.
