When I look at this piece, I’m reminded of flowing water. Layer upon layer, the water builds onto itself. Covering the dirt, sand, rocks, and any hidden treasures buried in its foundation. An ode to nature with rich hues of blues, greens, ochres, and hints of lavender and subtle reds. It feels organic and open with the ‘swooshing’ movement that weaves into and out of itself all at once.

Others have found a topographical map in it’s abstract imagery. There is a balancing act of organic and structure that points to the behavior of nature once again. There is a direction, a force to acknowledge about this piece in it’s subtle power. This work is created with acrylic paints, hand-painted, distressed, and cut paper, and powdered graphite collaged onto stretched professional grade canvas. Topped and sealed with multiple coats of matte varnish.Natural Pine wood frame included. Ready to hang.30”x40”2021
