OAK HEART MURAL PROJECT - NEW LONDON, NEW HAMPSHIRE

On June 24-27, 2021 the studio completed the largest painting to date (8x12’) and our first MURAL over in New London, New Hampshire πŸ€— . The wall is housed in a warehouse where a section of it is shifting into an eclectic storefront for artists, interior designers, and the local community to come together, share their goods, and create a new channel of culture for the area. I can’t wait to see it all come together in the coming months.

You can check out the process and images of the project below. Enjoy!

Some initial sketches of the project.

The project was set in the woods, in New Hampshire. We wanted to evoke the organic elements of the environment (tree, water, oak etc), as well as acknowledge where the wall would be living - in an industrial warehouse.

Finished Mural:

Finalize Mural by Katie Lane, 2021

The mural was created using recycled and donated papers, acrylic and various enamel paints, and sealed with multiple coats of weather-resistant and professional varnish.
